PURPOSE: To improve the passing property of subsequent rolling mills, to avoid the stop of a line, and to improve productivity by installing a shaping device shaping a projecting part in the width direction on the downstream side of the joining device for a rolled stock.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary cutter 35 and a rotary drive device 36 rotating and driving the rotary cutter 35 are installed on the lower surface of the tip part of a rolled stock 1. They are reciprocated by a cylinder 38 on a supporting plate 37 in the width direction of the rolled stock, and a range shaped by a shaping device is covered. The supporting plate 37 is vertically moved by a cylinder 39 installed on a base plate 40, and the rotary cutter 35 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the rolled stock 1. When the cutting head of the shaping device is equipped with plasma torch and laser irradiation port, since slag occurs on the lower surface of the rolled stock with cutting, it is removed by the rotary cutter 35. Also, when a cylindrical cutter is used, burrs, etc., occur. In the case of burrs, since sometimes they occur on the upper surface of the rolled stock 1, sometimes the rotary cutter 35 is installed on the upper surface as well.
