PURPOSE: To miniaturize the entire apparatus and press the sludge and other moisture containing matter powerfully, by forming a pressurizing belt in a wide sheet shape of non-permeable property, and forming multiple small water leading passages in the pressurizing plane.
CONSTITUTION: Moisture containing matter m such as sludge is held between upper and lower filter cloths 5, 6, receives the surface pressure of a pressurizing belt 10, and is also subjected to press action between the pressurizing belt 10 and a receiving drum 1. In this case, uniform pressure is applied to the sludge m by means of fine protrusions 11 provided on the pressurizing belt 10. The moisture squeezed out of the upper filter cloth 5 is led to water leading passages 12 in the pressurizing plane of the pressurizing belt 10 and flows downward to drop from the position of a roll 8. The moisture squeezed out of the lower filter cloth 6 is led into the water leading passages in the outer circumference of the receiving drum 1, and flows to the outside from the side of the receiving drum 1. In this mechanism, an inexpensive material may be selected for the belt material, so that the cost of the apparatus may be reduced.
