Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent double yarn after ending from being wound onto a package by introducing a miscut yarn after ending together with an ended yarn into the detecting groove of a yarn defect detecting device and detecting the double yarn. CONSTITUTION:When end breakage is detected by a detecting device 8, the rotation of a drum 9 is stopped, and a relay pipe 10 and a suction mouth 11 are revolvingly moved from positions 10a and 11a in a condition of sucking yarn ends respectively to make the yarn YB on a bobbin B side and the yarn YP on a package P side mutually crossingly pass through the upper portion of an ending device 12, and the yarns are cut off to carry out ending by means of a compressed fluid. At this time, if the yarn end YB fails to be cut off, the yarn between the suction mouth 11 and the package P remains continued and, after the ending operation, the yarn end YP together with the yarn YB is introduced into the detecting groove of the detecting device 8 due to the return of the revolving guides. If double yarn is detected, the yarn is cut off and the ending operation is again repeated as misending. Thereby, the double yarn can be prevented from being wound onto a package.
