PURPOSE: To obtain a preventing or a therapeutic agent, containing a specific benzoxazone compound (salt) as an active ingredient and useful for indefinite complaint such as a sense of distension, unpleasant feeling in superior abdomen, asitia. pyrosis or belching caused by gastritis or postgastrectomy syndrome.
CONSTITUTION: This preventing or therapeutic agent contains a benzoxazine compound of formula I {R1 and R2 are each H or an alkyl; R3 is H, an alkyl or a (substituted)phenylalkyl; R4 and R5 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, amino, OH, nitro, etc.; X is O or NH; R6 is formula II or III [R7 is an alkyl, a (substituted)phenylalkyl, etc.; R8 is Hor an alkoxy; (m) is 0 or 1], etc.}, preferably (±)-6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-4-methyl-3-oxo-N-(3-quinuclidinyl)-2H-1,4- benzoxazine-8-carboxamide hydrochloride as an active ingredient. The agent is orally, parenterally or rectally administered.
