Title:
PREVENTION OF SPUTTERING PHENOMENON OZONE GENERATION, AND LIGHT EMISSION OF DISCHARGE ELECTRODE OR ELECTRICITY REMOVAL ELECTRODE FOR HIGH VOLTAGE APPLYING ELECTRICITY REMOVAL DEVICE OR ELECTRIFICATION REMOVAL DEVICE IN VACUUM LAYER AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000340393
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To generate ions without accompanied by different kinds of side effects and to optimize the electricity removing effect by constituting a device in such a state as discharging from the tip of an assembly of a plurality of conductive fibers having a specific diameter, length, and electrical resistivity or that formed by coating an insulating coating thereon.

A discharge electrode 3 formed of a plurality of conductive fibers which are connected to a core wire 2 of a high-voltage electric wire 1 from a voltage applying electricity removal device 7 by soldering and has the diameter 0.2 mm or less, the length 0.1 mm or more, and the electrical resistivity 100 kΩ/cm or less has a huge discharge effective area and a minimum discharge energy per a unit area. When generating ions for removing the electrification of a charged body, this device causes no ozonization of air, no film formation by sputtering, and no obstruction of a photograph film by needle tip light emission compared with a discharge electrode having large concentrated discharge. Preferably, this device is arranged in a cage-type protection case having one or more openings and made of a material not obstructing the electricity removal effect so as to prevent contact with others and electric leakage.
