Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the cloudiness of a preserving container by suppressing the sublimation of ibuprofen in a solid preparation.
CONSTITUTION: Ibuprofen-containing solid preparation and a desiccant are preserved in a closed system. One or more selected from silica gel, silica alumina gel, calcium chloride, quicklime, etc., are used as the desiccant and the amount of it used is 0.01-0.5 pt.wt., preferably 0.05-0.2 pt.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. of a tablet. A bottle or a can made of glass, plastic, metal, etc., or a container of PTP, etc., is used as the container used in preservation in a closed system. Ibuprofen has a chemical name of (±)-2-(p-isobutylphenyl)propionic acid and is useful as an anti-inflammatory agent.
