Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rotation of inertia of an open lever, which is caused at a collision.
SOLUTION: This mechanism is composed of an open lever 12 connected to an opening handle 13 of a door, which is rotated to open the door around the support shaft 19 and separate a ratchet from a latch, when the handle 13 is operated to open the door, and the upper inertia force canceling lever 20 and the lower inertia force canceling lever 21 pivotted at the support shaft 19 to be freely rotatable and fitted to the open lever 12 when rotated in the opposite direction to the direction where the door opens, of the open lever 12. Inertia forces to rotate in the directions opposite to each other are generated respectively in the upper and lower inertia force canceling levers 20, 21 owing to impulses acting on a vehicle body.
