Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer which improves adhesive strength in bonding a nonpolar base material with the use of a 2-cyanoacrylate based adhesive and, at the same time, can prolong the open time.
SOLUTION: The primer for a 2-cyanoacrylate based adhesive has an organic phosphine compound and a hindered phenolic compound as the effective components. Preferably, the primer for a 2-cyanoacrylate based adhesive has a content of the above organic phosphine compound of 0.01-20 wt.% and a content of the above hindered phenol compound of 0.0001-10 wt.%, and the organic phosphine compound contains a benzene ring.
