Abstract:
To provide a primer composition for coatings showing a good adhesion to poorly adhesive substrates such as polyolefin resins, without compounding any chlorine atom-containing compound, and its preparation process.
The primer composition for coatings contains a modified olefin polymer wherein a chlorine atom-free vinyl monomer is graft polymerized with a chlorine atom-free olefin polymer. The preparation process of the primer composition for coatings comprises a step wherein the chlorine atom-free olefin polymer is impregnated with the chlorine atom-free vinyl monomer which is subsequently polymerized.
