Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a primer pair for detecting Pneumocystis jirovecii, which has a low probability of false negatives and is excellent in sensitivity, a method for detecting Pneumocystis jirovecii using the same, and a reagent kit therefor.The present invention relates to "a primer pair for detecting Pneumocystis jirovecii, which is selected from the group consisting of (i) a combination of a forward primer consisting of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and a reverse primer consisting of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, (ii) a combination of the forward primer consisting of the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 and a reverse primer consisting of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 4, and (iii) a combination of a forward primer consisting of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 3 and the reverse primer consisting of the base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2".
