Abstract:
To perform effective charging to the print processing in a network.
A client 102 sends a print request file and a document file 104 to a charging server 100. The server 100 sends a print permission file 110 describing a permitted amount of resources including the number of available print forms, etc., to the client 102. Then the server 100 produces the charging information based on the amount of resources and stores this information in a charging information file 108. The client 102 sends the file 110 to a printer device 112 earlier than the file 104. Only in such a case, the device 112 executes the print processing. As a result, the charging information is concentrically managed and also the print control is effectively carried out.
