In a printing control unit printing data to be supplied are generated in the printing section forming dots by jetting a various kinds of inks on the printing media. The printing control unit has an area sorting section sorting a given image data to circumferential areas of the end sides of the printing media, an central area and transition areas of a central side of the printing media, and a dot data forming section forming dot data showing the forming state of dots in respective pixels according to the pixel value of the respective pixels of the printing data. The dot data forming section performs color conversion such that the ink jet quantity to the same pixels value of the image data in the pixels belonging to the transition areas is greater than the pixels belonging to the transition area and less than the pixels belonging to the central area.
