To select an optimum motor and an optimum driving condition by detecting the ambient temperature of a device by use of a temperature sensor in order to detect the fluctuation of load according to temperature condition, and changing the driving condition of the motor according to the temperature condition.

A control circuit 12 drives the sheet pushup mechanism 3 of a hopper part 1, when delivering and carrying of sheet are started, to deliver and press a sheet onto a delivering roller 2. The rotating speed value of the delivering roller 2 corresponding to the temperature and the speed control table from stop to constant rotating speed are selected from control tables prepared in the control circuit 12 according to the temperature detected by a temperature sensor 13. The control circuit 12 successively rotates the roller 2 according to the speed control table by the selected value to deliver the sheets. A motor 8 for driving the carrying roller 7 of a carrying passage 4 is driven by the rotating speed value corresponding to the temperature and the speed control table from stop to constant rotating speed from the control tables prepared in the control circuit 12.
