To provide a new configuration capable of avoiding a situation where a spooler continuously holds a print job over a long time independently of eliminating the print job.
This authentication printing system includes: a job storing means for spooling a print job while associating the print job with a user; a means for reading a print job corresponding to an authenticated user from the job storing means and transmitting the print job to a printer when the user is authenticated on the basis of authentication information acquired from the user; a means for setting a time for spooling the print job as a standard storage time of the user corresponding to the print job when the job storing means spools the print job; a means for calculating an elapsed time (job storage time) from the standard storage time of a user about the user whose corresponding print job is spooled by the job storing means; and a means for notifying the user whose job storage time is equal to or more than a threshold that the print job is spooled.
