The print plate maker 20 includes: a first support body 1 to support the plate particles 15 of either hydrophilic property or hydrophobic property; a second support body 2 of the other hydrophilic property or hydrophobic property whose hardness reversely changes at a transfer temperature; a thermal head 5 that selectively heats the second support body 2; a cooling roller 6 which cools the second support body 2; a first driving part 13 which abuts the first support body 1 against the second support body 2 and spaces them apart; and a control part 90 which allows the first driving part 13 to abut the first support body 1 against the second support body 2, and enables the thermal head 5 to selectively heat the second support body 2 according to the image signal, and enables the cooling roller 6 to cool the second support body 2. The first driving part 13 spaces the first support body 1 from the second support body 2, which allows only the heated portion of the second support body 2 to have the plate particles 15 adhered thereon, thereby forming a plate image on the second support body 2.
