Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the recording picture quality and to reduce the equipment cost by storing a parameter data read from a storage means based on the 1st external cause and transferred from a reception control section at a prescribed period and extracting the required print pulse width at a print timing based on the 2nd external cause. CONSTITUTION:A reception control section 1 detects an external cause A comprised of temperature information and the resistance of a heat element of a thermal head 5 at every section of a scanning line of a picture signal, reads a parameter data from a ROM 2 by using it as an address, transfers it to a recording control section 3 and the data is stored in a RAM 4. On the other hand, a decoded picture signal PD is transferred to the thermal head 5 by one scanning line and print instruction is given to the recording control section 3. The recording control section 3 detects an external cause B comprised of a print period and a print voltage, uses the corresponding data as the address, a print pulse width data by one byte is extracted from the RAM 4 to generate a print timing pulse RT having a corresponding pulse length, the pulse is transferred to the thermal head 5 according to the print period to control the recording by one scanning period.
