PURPOSE: To make it possible to quietly cut printing paper to a uniform size in good appearance, by constituting a paper cutter mechanism of a circular cutter blade, a slider supporting said cutter blade and a drive mechanism sliding said slider.

CONSTITUTION: When a cutting time arrives, the rotation of a platen 23, a small roller 24 and a paper bail roller 25 is stopped and a reversible motor 33 rotates and, when a slider push plate 42 moves, roll paper 26 is pressed to a cutter mat 32 and fixed. A cutter blade 41 runs in the notch 55 of a paper guide 53 along with the slider push plate 42 and rotates by means of the friction force with the cutter mat 32 to cut the roll paper 26. If a program is written so as to perform operation start at the time of cutting, for example, for every 30cm transfer of the roll paper 26, the size of cut paper becomes uniform.
