This apparatus includes previously printed image data-staring means 9, 10, 13 which store a previously printed image data 21 in a previous print image memory 10 correspondingly in position to frames used for printing an ink sheet 7, a comparator 11 which compares gradation levels of a print image data 20 to be printed and the previously printed image data 21 written in the memory 10 corresponding to frames of an ink sheet 7 to be used for every pixel at corresponding positions, a judgment device 12 for judging, on the basis of the comparison result, whether printing is possible or not, and a control means (CPU) 9 which executes printing with the frames of the ink sheet 7 when printing is possible and makes the comparator 11 compare the print image data 20 to be printed with a next previously printed image data 21 in the memory 10 when printing is impossible.
