Abstract:
Provided is a printing device with which it is possible to suppress an increase in size of a cassette and to change rotational speeds of an input gear and an output gear. The present disclosure relates to a printing device provided with a printing device body and a printing cassette attachable to and detachable from the printing device body. The printing cassette is provided with: a printing tape with a first end and a second end that are spaced apart in a width direction; a case with a discharge opening; an output gear; an idle gear engaging with the output gear; and an input gear directly or indirectly engaging with the idle gear. The output gear and the idle gear are respectively arranged in positions which are spaced apart from the printing tape in the width direction at the discharge opening, and which are closer to the first end than to the second end of the printing tape in the width direction at the discharge opening. The idle gear is a stepped gear in which a first gear engaging with the output gear and a second gear larger in diameter than the first gear are arranged in parallel. The second gear is arranged in a different position than the output gear in the width direction.
