PURPOSE: To always print within a predetermined space of each page of a continuous sheet by feeding the sheet corresponding to a signal for continuously line feeding to the head line of next page of the sheet when a mark detection signal is received from a detection controller at the time of start of use and corresponding to the number of lines determined by a format setting except the reception of the signal.
CONSTITUTION: When a sheet feeder 14 feeds a sheet corresponding to predetermined lines determined by a format setting, a data controller 12 outputs data of next line stored in a data storage unit 13, and feeds printing data to a print controller 17. The controller 17 feeds a print command to a printer 16, and executes printing. When a mark 21b indicating that each page is moved to its end is detected by detectors 18, 25, a detection controller 19 feeds an interrupt signal that the mark 21b is presented at a detecting position 27 to a sheet feed controller 15 and the controllers 17, 12. The controller 15 feeds (n) line feed command to a sheet feeder 14 at this time, and feeds the sheet by (n) lines (the number of lines sufficient to skip a space on which a printing is inhibited between pages of a continuous sheet 21). Thus, the head line 21d of next page of the sheet 21 is moved to a printing position 24.
