PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a trouble that set contents is changed by another user during a period from the setting of a printer up to the output of document data and to reduce paper waste caused by misprinting due to a set error in an application program.

CONSTITUTION: Printer format data and document data are mutually linked and transferred to a server 330. Software (printer driver) for interpreting a control code sent to the server 330 and developing the interpreted control code in a frame memory 313 judges whether printing data are included within a printable range or not, and when the printing data overflow the range, decides the data as defective data and aborts printing. Since only normal data are transferred to a printer 340, paper waste can be reduced.
