Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a proper printing operation to be executed even in a case of executing a printing job not designating the type of sheets while reducing the labor of a user at the time of executing a printing job designating the type of sheets.SOLUTION: In a case where a manual insertion tray 202 is designated, and execution of a printing job designating the type of sheets is instructed, if type-free setting is performed, a printing operation according to the type of sheets designated in the printing job is executed, if type-free setting is performed, the printing operation is executed under at least one condition that the type of sheets placed on the manual insertion tray 202 is the same as the type of sheets designated in the printing job. In a case where the manual insertion tray 202 is designated and execution of the printing job not designating the type of sheets is instructed, even if type-free setting is performed, the printing operation according to the type of sheets placed on the manual insertion tray 202 is executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
