Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for functional thin film formation and a functional thin film forming method that can print fine patterning of a functional thin film to high quality with less foreign matter.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a printer for functional thin film formation for use to form a functional thin film on a base material, and the printer comprises at least a printing cylinder, a positioning surface plate and an ink supply mechanism. The printing cylinder is cylindrical comprising a relief printing plate, having a printing pattern formed, at an outer peripheral part, the positioning surface plate is means of positioning and placing matter to be printed, the ink supply mechanism consists of an anilox roll for supplying ink to the relief printing plate, a doctor roll pressed against the anilox roll to scrape excessive ink off from an anilox roll surface, and a press roller provided to press the doctor roll against the anilox roll, and the press roll is substantially as wide as the doctor roll.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
