Abstract:
PURPOSE: To print at a high speed without generating noise by embedding and fixing a bar lens element array in bar lens element array holding grooves provided in a cassette, in a printer head wherein a bar lens element array connected and pinched between two substrates and an LED element array are built in a cassette with their optical axes put together.
CONSTITUTION: A cassette 1 is constituted of an assembly body of two or more cassette units. A large number of refractive index distribution type bar lens elements are arranged in parallel. A refractive index distribution type bar lens element array 3 connected and pinched between two substrates 2, 4 and an LED element array 5 are built in the cassette 1 with their optical axes put together. In this case, the bar lens element array constituted of the substrates 2, 4 and the refractive index distribution type bar lens element array 3 is embedded in grooves 6, 7 provided in the cassette 1, and held tightly in the cassette 1 by holding claws 101, 101', 102, 102'. The embedment of the bar lens element array in the grooves 6, 7 of the cassette 1 is performed by inserting the bar lens element array from the side face of the cassette 1.
