Abstract:
To provide a printing technology for achieving both the reduction of power consumption and the maintenance of printing quality.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a printing part 23 having a plurality of heating elements 23a, a processor 21 being a control part for outputting printing pattern data for controlling a heating pattern of the plurality of heating elements 23a to the printing part 23, and a storage device 22 being a storage part for storing font information 22b. The processor 21 determines whether to perform density adjustment to the printing pattern data of each character generated on the basis of the font information in each character on the basis of the printing pattern data, and performs density adjustment processing for suppressing the density of the printing pattern data to the printing pattern data of a character determined to undergo the density adjustment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
