Title:
PRINTER AND POSITIONAL SHIFT ADJUSTMENT OF PRINTING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3368152
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the shift of dots formed by respective printing heads to a definite value or less even when the thermal expansion difference due to temp. difference is generated between a plurality of printing heads in a printer.
SOLUTION: When positional shift of the 1/2 pitch of an emitting orifice pitch is generated by the thermal expansion difference between the respective emitting orifices No. 7-No. 12 of low and high temp. line heads, dummy data D6' is inserted in a part of the emitting data D1-D12 for the low temp. head and the original emitting data D7-D12 of the dummy data D6' are alotted while the original emission is shifted by one. By this constitution, the mutual positional shift formed by the respective heads on the basis of the data D1-D12 becomes a 1/2 pitch or less.
