The printer includes (A) an element driven for forming dots, (B) a first drive signal generating part which generates the drive signal for driving the element, (C) a second drive signal generating part which generates the drive signal for driving the element, and (D) a controller which makes a first drive signal generated at the first drive signal generating part at the time of forming dots of a predetermined size by a certain timing, and at the same time makes a second drive signal different from the first drive signal generated at the second drive signal generating part. At the time of forming the dots of the predetermined size by a different timing, the controller makes the second drive signal generated at the first drive signal generating part, and at the same time makes the first drive signal generated at the second drive signal generating part.
