Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having a high degree of freedom in design while being provided with a mechanism decurling a printing medium where a swollen curl has occurred by making the mechanism decurling the printing medium where the swollen curl has occurred compact.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a print head 41 discharging ink onto a sheet-like printing medium and performing printing; a reversal mechanism 7 reversing the printing medium having a first surface printed by the print head 41 in a transportation path of the printing medium; and a control section controlling transportation of the printing medium. The reversal mechanism 7 comprises: a first bent section bending the printed printing medium with the first surface directed to the outside; a second bent section bending the printing medium in a direction reversed to the first bent section at a position closer to a downstream side than the first bent section; and a roller 54 positioned at the second bent section. The control section stops the transportation of the printing medium for a predetermined period of time in a state of the roller 54 nipping the printing medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
