Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method that enable the quantity of a shift in cutting position of a web after a web roll is changed at a paper feed part to converge into an allowable range more quickly without reference to a material of the web to be printed.SOLUTION: In a printer, a paper feed part 10 is configured to unwind a web W from one of a plurality of web rolls 11, 12, and to supply webs W continuously from the plurality of web rolls 11, 12 by switching the web roll as an unwinding source of the web W. When the web rolls 11, 12 are switched at the paper feed part 10, a control part 90 changes cutting control to the other control method on the basis of tension of the web W detected by a tension detection part (for example, tension rollers 22, 52).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
