PURPOSE: To record an operating state inside a printer and a history without always inspecting the printer, to surely confirm information required when replenishing and maintenance work are carried out, and to increase efficiency in time for an operator without unnecessarily arranging the operator.
CONSTITUTION: A detecting device 20 detects the state and histories of each system directly having relation to a printing action on printing by an electrophotographic recording system. An event analyzing/calculating device 14 carries out analysis and calculation based on an event from the detecting device and time information obtained from the relevant timer. An input/output controller 16 controls input/output information from nonvolatile memory 17 and an operation panel input device 18.
