Abstract:

To provide a printer with a cutting head that automatically controls tension applied to a recording medium.SOLUTION: A printer with a cutting head receives job data in which information showing whether printing and cutting respectively are included in a job or not is written. The printer with a cutting head is configured so that a tension application mechanism that applies tension to a recording medium is controlled on the basis of information written in the received job data, which when the cutting is included in the job (S01:YES), loosens the recording medium during the cutting (S02) and when the cutting is not included in the job (S01:NO), applies tension to the recording medium during printing (S12).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
