Abstract:
To improve the running cost of an ink ribbon for a printer.
One line is printed on a printing medium with the use of only odd-number heating units counted from one side of heating units of a thermal head (S105). The ink ribbon is turned into a lock state (S106), and the printing medium is transferred by one line (S107). One line is printed to the printing medium with the use of only even-number heating units counted from one side of heating units of the thermal head (S108). The ink ribbon is released from the lock state (S109), and the printing medium is transferred by one line (S110). This is repeated until all lines are completely printed. In other words, the printing medium is printed by two lines by one line of the ink ribbon.
