To provide a printer for shortening the time required for starting printing, preventing useless consumption of electric power, and improving efficiency of printing when printing on papers having different fixation temperatures continuously.

This printer 1 includes a function for printing on both of a document such as the document including medicine information (medicine information) and an envelope in which the document is put (medicine bag) by combining both of them. This printer is constituted to store fixation temperature in paper mode when starting continuous printing in a memory and return to the fixation temperature when starting printing precedently stored in the memory upon completion of printing to start printing at this time immediately as it is, thereby shortening the time required for starting printing.
