Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer performing release operation of a pair of transportation rollers at a paper discharge side by a simple mechanism with a driving source common to a platen gap adjustment mechanism.SOLUTION: A platen gap adjustment mechanism of a printer 1 synchronously rotates first and second guide shafts 57 and 58 by a synchronous rotation mechanism using one rotation shaft. Further, the printer 1 comprises: a first release mechanism releasing a nip state of a pair of paper feed rollers 21; and a second release mechanism releasing a nip state of a pair of first and second paper discharge rollers 23 and 24. The printer 1 synchronizes the first release mechanism and the second release mechanism and performs release operation. The second release mechanism performing release of a paper discharge side oscillates first and second release levers and lifts up and down a support frame supporting driven rollers 23b and 24b on the basis of rotation of the second guide shaft 58 disposed at the same side as that of the pair of first and second paper discharge rollers 23 and 24 with respect to a print head 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
