Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing label creating device which uses up the residual power of a battery by properly dealing with the consumption degree of the battery even when an operation environment changes.SOLUTION: A printing label creating device comprises: a thermal head control circuit 217 which causes power to pass through at least one of a plurality of heating elements of a thermal head 23 in accordance with printing data; a motor drive circuit 216 which controls driving of a tape feeding roller drive shaft; a battery storage part which stores a cylindrical battery BT for supplying power to the thermal head control circuit and the motor drive circuit; and an A/D input circuit 219 which can detect an output voltage value of the battery BT. The device determines the consumption degree of the battery BT by using the output voltage value detected in trial printing processing performed before execution of main printing processing, and determines whether or not the main printing processing can be normally completed on the basis of the consumption degree.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
