Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage on a thermal head and a platen roller in a case where large-sized printing such as an A0 size is performed.SOLUTION: In a case where an image is printed on a sheet of an A2 size, a movable sheet bearing part 24 is attached to a position corresponding to the A2 size. Since a protrusion part 24b of the movable sheet bearing part 24 is not brought into contact with a first head vertical plate 42, the first head vertical plate 42 biases a first stay 52 to an upper side, a compression spring 62 compresses, and thereby a fourth thermal head 30d is separated from a platen roller 38. Further, following closing operation of a head cover, a protrusion part 24b of the movable sheet bearing part 24 rotates a second head vertical plate 40, and a second stay 50 is pushed up by a protrusion part 40c. As a result of this, a third thermal head 30c rotates, the compression spring 64 compresses, and thereby the third thermal head 30c is separated from the platen roller 38. First and second thermal heads are always brought into contact with the platen roller 38.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
