Abstract:
To provide a printer that can identify whether commodity information of a label to be printed is information stored in a storing portion of a label printer or information read out from a server device.SOLUTION: The printer is equipped with input means, receiving means, a storing portion, reading-out means, displaying control means and printing control means. The input means receives input of commodity codes allowing commodities to be identified. The receiving means receives commodity information of a commodity relating to a commodity code which the input means receives from an external device. The storing portion stores at a predetermined timing the commodity information received from the external device. The reading-out means reads out the commodity information of the commodity relating to the commodity code which the input means receives from the storing portion subject to the condition that the receiving means cannot receive the commodity information. The displaying control means displays the commodity information in a form in which it is identifiable that the information is the commodity information read out by the reading-out means. The printing control means prints the commodity information on a printing medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
