Abstract:
To provide a technique to improve operability in a printer that receives, through a control panel, input of network information used for connection to a wireless LAN.SOLUTION: An MFP 1 comprises an upper key 32, a lower key 33, and a display 31, and receives input of characters one by one on an input screen for network information used for connection to a wireless LAN. When the MFP 1 enters an input start state for one character on the input screen and receives an operation of the upper key 32 first, the MFP enters an alphabetical input mode, and when further receiving an operation of the upper key 32, the MFP switches input objects in an alphabetical order. When the MFP enters the input start state for one character and receives an operation of the lower key 33 first, the MFP enters a numerical input mode, and when further receiving an operation of the lower key 33, the MFP switches the input objects in a numerical order. When a determination condition for a character is satisfied, the MFP 1 determines a character being displayed as an input object, and enters an input start state for a next character.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
