Abstract:
To provide a printer which can reduce influence of electromagnetic waves on a wireless tag subsequent to a wireless tag to be a communication object.SOLUTION: A printer 100 in a mode performs printing on a printing medium in a continuous body of the printing medium provided with a plurality of wireless tags mounted at prescribed intervals. The printer includes: a printing section 20 which performs printing on the wireless tags; a conveyance section 7 which conveys the printing medium toward the printing section 20; a communication section 40 which performs wireless communication with the wireless tags; and a follow-up member 64 which continuously follows up according to the movement of the printing medium in a state in which the wireless tag of the continuous body M comes into contact with and abuts on the wireless tag on an upstream side of the wireless tag communicated in the communication section 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
