Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a printer in which cueing of an ink ribbon can be easily and simply executed, a printing time can be shortened, and various controls of winding of the ribbon, cueing of respective color ink ribbons at the time of controlling an attitude of a print head, printing can be executed by one motor.
CONSTITUTION: A printer has a carriage 24 placing at least a print head 73, an ink ribbon winding mechanism 82, etc., and movably provided along a platen 20 by carriage driving means 25 of a printer body 21, and comprises winding means 44-47 coupled to the mechanism 82, etc., at a predetermined position of the carriage 24 in a feeding direction to cue an ink ribbon 23 by rotatably driving the winding mechanism. The means 44-47 are coupled to the means 25.
