Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of stably peeling an ink ribbon from a transfer medium and of reducing a printing operation time.
SOLUTION: This printer comprises a thermal head 12 movable toward or away from a conveying passage 11. A peeling roller 18 moved along with the head 12 is provided to a downstream side of the thermal head 12. The ink ribbon 13 is sublimated by a heating element 22 provided on the head 12, then predetermined information is printed on a card C. When printing of the last line is completed, the peeling roller 18 and thermal head 12 are shunted upward and at the same time a conveying motor 10 is driven in a high revolution to convey the card C in a high speed. After the card C is conveyed a predetermined distance, it is stopped.
