Abstract:
To provide a printer in which a printing unit can be stably held and can be easily exposed.SOLUTION: The printer comprises: an enclosure for storing a printing medium; a cover mounted to be openable and closable with respect to the enclosure; a printing unit for performing printing on a printing medium; an engagement part for holding the printing unit in the cover; and a holding mechanism that performs adjustment so that the engagement part engages with the printing unit at a close position at which the cover closes an opening part of the enclosure and margins of engagement of the engagement part with the printing unit are reduced accompanying switching of the cover from a close position to close the opening part of the enclosure to an open position to open the opening part of the enclosure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
