Title:
PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01145171
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To correct an error in a paper drawing-in quantity inherent in a printer due to variations in a paper sensor or a mechanism part and maintain an optimum drawing-in quantity according to a format of a paper, by storing an optimum paper drawing-in quantity set by the operator through operating a minute line feed switch into an electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM). CONSTITUTION:After a paper is drawn-in, the operator moves the paper to an optimum head exposure position by a forward minute paper feed switch 1a and a backward minute paper feed switch 1b provided on a console panel 1. Next, with a paper drawing-in quantity determining switch 1c depressed, a controlling part 2 writes the paper drawing-in quantity corrected by the operator into an EEPROM 4. At the subsequent drawing-in of a paper, the controlling part 2 starts a motor-controlling part 3 according to the written value, thereby rotating a paper-feeding motor 5. By this operation, a printer is always made capable of drawing-in a paper to the optimum position set through correction by the operator, the set value being held in the EEPROM 4 even after a power supply is switched OFF.
