PURPOSE: To enable a recording paper to be discharged selectively either on the front side or on the rear side of a display part, by guiding the recording paper discharged from a printing part, and switching the position of a recording paper discharging port.

CONSTITUTION: A recording guide 6 is so supported by a spring 9 that a recording paper discharging part 7a is disposed on the front side of a display part 2, and a recording paper 3 is set. When printing is started in this condition, a platen 4 is rotated to feed the paper 3, which is passed through a through-hole 7 in the guide 6, and is discharged through the discharging part 7a to the front side of the display part 2. Alternatively, the guide 6 is turned by an angle- adjusting lever 8 to move the discharging part 7a to the rear side of the display part 2, the guide 6 is supported by the spring 9, and the paper 3 is set. When printing is started in this condition, the paper 3 is passed through the through- hole in the guide 6, and is discharged through the discharging part 7a to the rear side of the display part 2.
