To provide a printing apparatus capable of surely preventing the electrostatic breakage of a component on a printing object caused by the electrostatic charge of a printing mask, and to provide a management method of the printing mask.
The printing mask 2 with a plurality of openings and a conductive film 203 formed on the surface thereof is used for printing, and the printing mask 2 used upon printing is cleaned. After cleaning the printing mask 2, also, prior to the following printing using the printing mask 2, the electric resistance of the conductive film 203 on the printing mask 2 is measured. The value obtained by the measurement result is compared with a predetermined judgement reference value, and whether or not the printing mask 2 is usable for printing is judged based on the comparison result, then, the judgement result is outputted.
