To reduce the size of a printing apparatus.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus (1) comprises: a conveyor (6) to convey a sheet (P); an image recorder(3) to record an image on the sheet (P); a cutter (7) to cut the sheet (P); a registration sensor (120) to detect a trailing end portion of the sheet (P); and a controller. The controller is for: calculating a cutting position of the sheet (P) based on the length of the sheet (P); conveying the sheet (P) in a direction (D2) opposite to a conveyance direction (D1) by the conveyor (6); and cutting the sheet (P) at the cutting position by the cutter (7).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
