The printing apparatus includes: a memory including a printing job table for configuring a printing operation and a skip table for skipping the unprintable area on a recording medium; a detection means for detecting the unprintable area; and a control means for calculating a position corresponding to the unprintable area of the printing job table, moving from the printing job table to the skip table before executing the job corresponding to the unprintable area, executing a job registered on the skip table and subsequently executing a job registered in the printing job table when the detection means detects the unprintable area.
