Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of restricting unexpected rotation of a platen roller.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a print head; a platen roller facing the print head; a driving source; a drive shaft which is connected to and driven by the driving source, and capable of rotating about a rotation axis; a platen gear connected to and driven by the platen roller; and a cassette attachment part in which the print head and the drive shaft are arranged. In the cassette attachment part, a printing cassette including a tape to be printed, an input part, and an output part connected to and driven by the input part, can be attached in an axial direction of the rotation axis of the drive shaft. In a state that the printing cassette is attached to the cassette attachment part, the drive shaft is engaged with the input part, and the platen gear is engaged with the output part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
