Abstract:
To provide a printing device and a control method of the printing device which can stabilize driving of an object to be driven.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: a driving part that can drive an object to be driven involved in printing on a medium; a target speed indicating part that indicates a target speed of the object to be driven; a speed detecting part that detects a speed of the object to be driven that is driven by the driving part; a jerk calculating part that calculates jerk of the object to be driven, on the basis of the speed of the object to be driven detected by the speed detecting part; a calculating part that calculates a control value of the object to be driven, on the basis of the target speed of the object to be driven indicated by the target speed indicating part, the speed of the object to be driven detected by the speed detecting part and the jerk of the object to be driven calculated by the jerk calculating part; and a driving control part that controls the driving part on the basis of the control value of the object to be driven calculated by the calculating part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
