To provide a printing device that can be made compact and lightweight, and is suppressed of cost increase and can perform recording with high accuracy.
The printing device has: a base 53, a first side member 8 and a second base member 9 that are installed to the base 53 and separated each other, and a roller 3, and in addition, has a chassis 12 that holds a printing head, and a platen 2 that supports a sheet to which recording is performed by the printing head. The roller 3, the chassis 12, and the platen 2 are positioned to the first side member 8 and the second side member 9 and maintained. All of the first side member 8, the second side member 9, the base 53, and the platen 2 are formed by molding the resin material, and the resin materials of the first side member 8 and the second side member 9 are larger than the resin material of the base 53 in the flexural modulus.
